| In October, 2005, The SDSB held its first camping weekend. The batty bananas boldly braved the wet and windy weather. The Andersons, Bodenhams Jnr and Snr, Moores, Palmers, Sparrows and Taits, had exclusive use of the rally field at the Mayfield Park campsite in North Cerney, Cirencester.

| On Saturday night, we were joined by the Jones, the Everest, the Miles and the Tait who won't camp for a BBQ. Alcohol (and soft drinks) and food were not in short supply as the evening progressed. It was on this evening that Philip and Anne announced that they were going to have a baby, and the champagne corks were popped. |

| John Palmer organized a treasure hunt around Cirencester. He still has the sheets if anyone wants to complete it! |

| The last day was a bit of a damp squib; everyone had struck camp and we were left sitting in a circle in the middle of an empty field for lunch, but it was agreed the whole weekend had been a great success and maybe we should do it again sometime! |
